Las Vegas is using high-definition optical and sound sensors, IoT, artificial intelligence, machine learning, cloud and data analytics to create a smarter city.
The City of Las Vegas, NTT and Dell Technologies have teamed together to leverage high-definition optical and sound sensors, IoT, AI, machine learning, cloud and data analytics, to improve public safety. The Smart City solution provides real-time alerts for public crowd density, number of vehicles, sound alerts and more, which enables predictive alerts of potential or active public safety incidents. For example, cameras can scan a license plate identified in an Amber alert and help locate a kidnapped child. The solution also has a positive impact on residents by deriving insights that are useful for city planning and operations.
