Chattanooga is known as the “City of Creators” for good reason. Mayor Andy Berke is building a more resilient, innovative, and connected community through data. Chattanooga’s data program — Chattadata — ties budget to performance and supports cross-agency collaboration on real challenges. In January, the city launched an enterprise data sharing platform to provide self-service data and dashboarding tools to all levels of city staff. This platform, along with Peak Academy Chattanooga and Data Academy Chattanooga, upskills and empowers employees to be change agents and tackle cross-departmental operational challenges such as improving employee safety, improving resident satisfaction, and creating safer streets.
