Arkansas website took home 10 honors in ’13

The state of Arkansas, in partnership with the Information Network of Arkansas, has been honored with an impressive 10 accolades in 2013 for its cutting-edge Web design and online services that streamline government operations and save taxpayer money.

Arkansas.gov honored as a top state government website, celebrates a successful year

  •  CENSOR improves the paper-based registration and management process of more than 11,720 sex offenders in Arkansas, provides more timely information to citizens, has saved the state roughly $55,000 per year and reduced the cost of manual processing of forms by $17,500.

  • The newly developed Applicant Tracking Module for ARStateJobs.com has enabled Arkansas state agencies to eliminate paper from the hiring process, dramatically increase the speed of evaluating and hiring candidates, and has saved the state more than $1 million.

  • The redesigned “responsive” website for Attorney General Dustin McDaniel presents useful information in a mobile-friendly format that adjusts to comfortably fit any size mobile or desktop screen.

  • This online management tool has improved ADHE’s grant request process for disbursing funds to the Career Pathways Initiative (CPI) and has saved state employees 500+ working hours annually, which equals $100,000 per year.

  • The ASBN State Licensure System integrates a Criminal Background Check process into an online application, which replaces a paper and manual application for 24 types of nursing licenses.
