CalPERS names enterprise strategy and performance head
CalPERS Announces Selection of Enterprise Strategy and Performance Division Chief:
The California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS) has named Sabrina Stroud as the Division Chief for the organization’s Enterprise Strategy and Performance Division. She will begin her new role at CalPERS on August 19, 2013.
Stroud will be responsible for the overall planning, development and monitoring of CalPERS strategic and annual business plans, working with the System’s executive leadership team. She will also oversee the development and monitoring of performance measures for the organization and will help coordinate CalPERS position on urgent enterprise emerging issues.
“Sabrina is a strong leader and a good fit in this position,” said Doug Hoffner, CalPERS Deputy Executive Officer for Operations and Technology. “Her experience and knowledge of CalPERS will be valuable in developing the organization’s strategic vision and goals for the future.”
Stroud brings with her nearly 10 years of State of California management experience. She currently is an Assistant Division Chief in the Customer Services and Outreach Division of CalPERS. Stroud will report to Hoffner.
“I’m excited to lead our strategy and performance team and look forward to the opportunity to play a role in shaping the direction of CalPERS,” said Stroud.
CalPERS is the largest public pension fund in the U.S., with more than $260 billion in assets. The retirement system administers retirement benefits for more than 1.6 million current and retired California State, public school and local public agency employees and their families on behalf of more than 3,000 public employers in the state, and health benefits for 1.3 million enrollees.
