With publicly funded data, “the opportunities to create jobs are endless,” he said, during an discussion titled “Forum on How Government Can Evolve to Harness the Digital Age Revolution.”

“The last estimates were in the multi-millions of jobs, just by making satellite data and making it available,” Newsom said. “Millions and millions of jobs, literally millions, just because of that one data set being mined consistently.”
