Thompson advises state and local CIOs on how to provide innovative solutions to address common problems, reduce costs, improve security and ease the complexity of managing IT ecosystems. As the former Wisconsin chief technology officer, Thompson has helped states save millions through IT consolidation proposals. He crafted VMware’s recommended approach to securing elections infrastructure, now being implemented by states that include Kansas, New York and Oregon.
