SETDA to partner with 10 startups on ed tech

SETDA Announces Partnership with New Cohort of Ten Startups ?Focused on Serving K-12 Education Needs

The State Educational Technology Directors Association (SETDA), the principal membership association representing U.S. state and territorial educational technology leaders, announced today its second annual cohort of Emerging Private Sector Partners. These ten new SETDA Emerging Private Sector Partners will debut at the upcoming Emerging Technologies Forum on June 26 in Atlanta, Ga., and engage with the SETDA membership over the next twelve months:

The 10 companies making up this cohort were selected from a highly competitive pool of applicants based on their status as an emerging company, capacity to leverage technology to serve a need in PreK-12 or pre-service education, and their potential to scale on a statewide and multistate basis.

“State education leaders will receive the benefit of exposure to and insight into these exciting digital learning innovations,” said Douglas Levin, SETDA executive director. “At the same time, these companies will benefit from the knowledge of emerging policy and exemplary practices in the states, as well as from the experience and wisdom of those who have supported school technology implementation for years.”

Emerging Private Sector Partners also will benefit from deep education industry expertise via SETDA Channel Partners, who are longstanding experts in the K-12 industry with experience in supporting and scaling successful companies and connecting them to leading organizations like SETDA.
