North Dakota is finally saying goodbye to its legacy geographic information systems platform.
Based on dated and discontinued technology that has made it difficult to maintain, the platform will be shut down at the end of June.
The new Hub Explorer, a mapping application that allows users to view data on the North Dakota GIS Hub, launched in February 2012, and is powered by ArcGIS Server with an interface that uses a modified version of Esri’s javascript application programming interface.
The Hub Explorer service has been in existence for more than a decade.
