The National Association of State Chief Information Officers has adopted a new strategic plan that puts a stronger emphasis on leadership and business innovation.
“The NASCIO Executive Committee held a strategic planning session focused on the priorities and future vision of the association,” said Craig Orgeron, NASCIO president and Mississippi’s chief information officer, in a statement. “The new strategic plan reinforces the association’s mission, vision, and guiding principles and strengthens NASCIO’s ability to support CIOs as state leaders and visionaries.”
NASCIO uses its strategic plan to guide the development of its annual business plan and supporting performance measurement. The initiatives highlighted are determined by the organization’s executive committee after assessing state member priorities and national technology trends.
