Simultaneously, the revenue department was asked to complete general reappraisals of nearly 400,000 properties every four years, instead of eight. Kinrade implemented a cloud-based, machine learning model that considers hundreds of variables such as square footage, exterior finish, neighborhood and daily property sales to offer objective market forecasts. Wake County can now reappraise every property, every day, and ensure that the 2020 assessed values are as fair and accurate as possible. The automation saves resources, freeing up employees to focus elsewhere and reducing assessment costs.
