Delaware CIO Greg Lane resigns
Delaware Gov. Matt Meyer on Tuesday announced the resignation of Greg Lane, the state’s chief information officer and head of the Delaware Department of Technology and Information.

Lane has served as CIO since June of 2023, succeeding Jason Clarke, who led the state’s tech office under former Gov. John Carney. Before his tenure as CIO, Lane was the state’s chief technology officer, for more than six years.
In his leadership roles, Lane has led a number of transformational efforts, including expanding the state’s digital services offerings and overseeing efforts that made Delaware the first state in the nation to offer its residents universal access to high-speed internet, which it did through extensive broadband planning.
In his announcement about Lane’s resignation, Meyer said Jordan Schulties, the technology bureau’s chief of administration, will, starting Wednesday, serve as acting CIO while a nationwide search gets underway.
“Greg Lane has been an integral leader in Delaware state government under multiple governors, serving as an effective steward of critical technology infrastructure,” Meyer said in a news release. “His experience in digital and technological services and his commitment to public service have added valuable contributions to our Administration. I want to thank him for his service and his commitment to Delaware.”
The Delaware Department of Technology and Information did not immediately respond to a request for additional information.
