The state of Michigan has fully migrated to a new “integrated end-to-end eProcurement system” that replaces its legacy Bid4Michigan platform.

Effective May 28, all new solicitations are now entered in the new system, Buy4Michigan.

The new Buy4Michigan module allows for reverse auctions between the state’s buyers and suppliers and provides tools to manage solicitation questions and answers in a “secure real time environment.”

Michigan officials said the launch marks the end of the first phase of development with the next beginning immediately. Future enhancements include “automated functionality designed to facilitate the entire procurement process including online contract/purchase order issuance, receiving, invoicing, payment and contract management in a fully integrated system.”
