The Colorado Technology Association has named Suma Nallapati, Colorado’s secretary of technology and chief information officer, to its board of directors.

Nallapati joins a 45-person board of Colorado executives and business leaders from across the technology industry with the goal of fueling the state’s economy through technology.

“CTA is pleased to continue the strong relationship with the Governor’s Office of Information Technology and amplify the voice of the public sector on our board of directors,” Erik Mitisek, the association’s CEO, said in a release. “Suma’s vast knowledge of the industry in both the private and public sector will provide valuable insight for our board, association and industry as a whole.”

Nallapati joined the Colorado Governor’s Office of Information Technology in February as the state’s chief technology officer after serving as a vice president at Catholic Health Initiatives, one of the nation’s largest health care networks. She was promoted to her role as secretary of technology and CIO in May.
