Pilot Program on GenAI Use with Gemini for Workspace

In September 2024, the Arizona Department of Administration conducted a four-week pilot program using Gemini for Google Workspace with the participation of more than 200 users and nine agencies. The state’s goal was to explore ways to automate routine tasks and improve efficiencies to allow public servants to better serve Arizonans. The results of the pilot program suggest that by using Gemini, employees could increase their productivity by 2.5 hours per week, streamlining tasks like summarizing information, automating charts and graphics, taking notes and formatting or writing computer code.
