“As a service”

Tarek Tomes, Minnesota CIO

Anything “as a service” — software-as-a-service, platform-as-a-service, desktop-as-a-service, cloud-as-a-service — has probably had its run. It’s overused. It’s like: “coffee-as-a-service” and “breakfast-as-a-service” and we’ve just affectionately tagged anything we’re doing “as a service” on the back of it. The first iterations of it were as “as a service” but some of the latter incarnations are not really as readily consumed.
