Texans can now renew their boat registrations and upgrade their driver’s licenses online through Texas by Texas, the state’s official digital assistant that allows residents to manage multiple state services through a single account.

The newest features, introduced Tuesday in partnership with the state’s Departments of Public Safety and Parks and Wildlife, allows users to upgrade from a learner license to a provisional license, a process that previously required an in-person visit. Users can also manage boat registrations directly from their accounts, including order additional ID cards and replace lost registration decals or ID cards.

The expansion aims to save residents time and money while modernizing the way to interact with state government services.

“Since TxT’s public launch in 2022, more than 10.8 million Texans have created their TxT account and embraced the ease and convenience that TxT offers,” Texas Chief Information Officer Amanda Crawford said in a press release.
