Los Angeles County has successfully completed the final-phase implementation of a new human resources management system that will handle the payroll of more than 100,000 employees.

The announcement was made Friday by Virginia-based CGI, the contractor working with Los Angeles County on the implementation of a multiphase enterprise resource planning modernization effort.

The system upgrade was implemented on time and within budget, and was preceded by a series of rigorous tests in partnership with the county.

“I’m tremendously proud of the county’s team behind this effort and the executive support and vision from our county management and board of supervisors,” said Robert Davis, assistant auditor-controller for Los Angeles County. “The public and L.A. County employees have been well-served by the management and technical expertise CGI has demonstrated throughout the course of this extremely complex and large-scale implementation.”
