As commissioner for the Missouri Office of Administration, Sarah Steelman is leading the State of Missouri’s digital turnaround. Steelman helped design and now chairs the State of Missouri’s Cabinet IT Governance Council. For the first time ever, the Cabinet-level council manages the state’s portfolio of strategic IT investments, prioritizing and shifting resources as needed to deliver the most impact. A former state senator and treasurer, Steelman has been uniquely equipped to successfully make the case to the legislature for investments in the state’s critical systems, like a new ERP system and its staff’s capabilities to be a 21st century organization.
