Paolo Tandoc

Tandoc is the information security officer for Sacramento, California.

Cybersecurity Leader of the Year

Paolo Tandoc’s mission is to provide value to the City of Sacramento by managing the risks to the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of city information assets through sound administrative, physical, and technical controls. Tandoc propelled the city’s security program in fiscal year 2021 by implementing a data security, analytics and classification system, implementing security automation orchestration & response (SOAR), and emphasized security awareness training with a cybersecurity ninja training and meeting with departments on emerging threats and their performance. The strides that Tandoc and his team have made take on additional importance, especially at a time when priorities shifted to making information systems available externally so users could work remotely.
