FDEM is tracking professional hours across state-run testing and vaccination sites, in support of the Division's COVID-19 response.

State IT Innovation of the Year

The Florida Division of Emergency Management (FDEM) partnered with technology company Merit to provide a fast, secure, paperless solution for tracking thousands of volunteer and paid medical professionals assisting with the statewide COVID-19 vaccination efforts. Using Merit’s digital verified identity platform, FDEM is tracking professional hours across state-run testing and vaccination sites, in support of the Division’s COVID-19 response. FDEM leverages this technology to get on-demand reports and access a real-time audit trail of hours worked, freeing up the state to focus time and energy on getting more residents vaccinated.
