Arkansas labor department to use Tyler Technologies for state inspections
Tyler Technologies announced Tuesday it was selected for a contract by the Arkansas Department of Labor and Licensing to assist in managing inspections, including for workers compensation and labor code enforcement.
The department, which is responsible for issuing occupational licensing and enforcing workplace labor laws at businesses, will use Tyler’s augmented field operations platform for inspection scheduling, route planning and redundant data entry.
“With the help of Tyler’s Augmented Field Operations, we’ll soon be able to conduct more inspections across Arkansas in less time through automations and integration with our licensing system,” state Labor Secretary Daryl Bassett said in the announcement.
According to the announcement, the platform’s artificial intelligence and automation tools will help the department reduce travel costs and save time by eliminating the manual-entry processes. The company claims the state can analyze historical site and census data, past visits and violations, which will help prepare personnel for on-site inspections and identify potential hazards that may have been overlooked.
In its announcement, Tyler Technologies says the company has sold software to the Arkansas Department of Labor and Licensing for 20 years, including its regulatory licensing and permitting software.
