Utah updates ‘Bill Watch’ mobile app
Utah Bill Watch App allows groups to monitor new laws
Utah.Gov today announced new updates to the features of its Utah Bill Watch mobile application. The award winning Bill Watch free app helps concerned citizens track bills and receive instant updates as bills move through the Utah Legislature. The newly added features allow users to create and share lists of legislative priorities with like-minded advocates.
“We see transparency as a priority in the legislature,” said Rep. Brad Wilson, vice chair of the Executive Appropriations Committee. “Services like Bill Watch at Utah.Gov are a great way for our constituents to stay up-to-date on current legislation and public policy. Bill watch will help Utahans become more informed.”
The Bill Watch application allows citizens who want to stay on top of legislative issues to search for bills by topic, legislator’s name, or bill number, and to receive updates directly to your mobile device via push notification. In 2013, Utah was the first state to create a mobile tracking service for state legislation. The app is provided by the official website for the state of Utah, Utah.Gov, and the Utah State Legislature (le.utah.gov). Bill Watch is one of hundreds of award winning services provided by Utah.Gov.
“Bill Watch is an indispensable tool for anyone interested in following the Utah legislature,” said Chip Dawson, Intergovernmental Affairs, eight years at the Utah legislature. “Finally we have a tool that allows citizens and government relations professionals to get real-time legislative updates on their mobile device.”
