Bilal Khan is the chief technology officer and acting chief information security officer for NJ Transit, the country’s largest public transit system. This is Khan’s first C-level position and his leadership at NJ Transit has seen a rapid transformation of information security processes that keep a million daily riders secure. This includes beginning a roll-out of the ISO 27001:2013 framework. Once NJ Transit has completed this security transformation, it will be the first and only transit system in North America with an ISO 27001 certification — something that has only been made possible through Khan’s vision.
