NASCIO names new executive leadership

The National Association of State Chief Information Officers on Tuesday named its executive leaders for the coming year, moving Arizona CIO J.R. Sloan up to president, replacing Texas CIO Amanda Crawford, who’s now recognized as the group’s most recent past president.
As NASCIO’s most recent president, Crawford led an initiative called “Demystifying State Technology Procurement,” aimed at making the process by which states purchase things simpler, both for vendors and the government agencies doing the procuring.
Utah CIO Alan Fuller now serves as NASCIO’s vice president and Ohio CIO Katrina Flory serves as its secretary-treasurer.
The group also named the directors on its executive committee:
Michigan CIO Laura Clark
Wyoming CIO Jeff Clines
Nevada CIO Timothy Galluzi
Washington CIO Bill Kehoe
Massachusetts CIO Jason Snyder
Georgia CIO Shawnzia Thomas
NASCIO’s corporate leadership council:
Michael Hussey, industry executive director at Oracle and former Utah CIO
Jennifer Ricker, director of customer success at CGI and former Illinois CIO
