Evidence-Based Corrections Dashboards

The Iowa Department of Corrections worked with SAS to help improve operations and support data-driven decisions. Through the development of three dashboards, the department helped control and monitor the spread of COVID-19, calculated risk scores for people to be potentially placed before the Board of Parole and helped parole officers monitor released individuals and intervene where appropriate to prevent recidivism.
