ITI creates new public sector division
ITI announces inaugural participants in new public sector division
The Information Technology Industry Council (ITI) announced today the inaugural companies participating in its new division, the IT Alliance for Public Sector (ITAPS). Fourteen companies from different industry sectors have come forward to benefit from the expertise of the new division of ITI.
ITI formed ITAPS in November 2013 to develop an alliance of leading technology companies building and integrating the latest innovative technologies for the public sector market. With a focus on the federal, state, and local levels of government, as well as on educational institutions, ITAPS advocates for improved procurement policies and practices, while identifying business development opportunities and sharing market intelligence with our industry participants.
The 14 companies are:
Amazon Web Services, CA Technologies, Compusearch Software Systems Inc., EMC, HP, IBM, Intel, Microsoft, Oracle, Panasonic, Performance Technology Partners, SAIC, SAP Americas, and Xerox.
“This is a wonderful vote of confidence from global leaders in public sector solutions,” said Senior Vice President for Public Sector, Trey Hodgkins. “We are committed to helping companies maneuver the public sector market by providing market access, market influence, and market intelligence. We expect the next few months to be incredibly busy for our team as we continue to ramp up our engagement on advocacy and business development fronts. We look forward to executing against those plans as we continue our growth throughout 2014.”
“A strong voice for public sector businesses is more important than ever before and we are excited to see the ITAPS community expand. Trey and his team bring a unique blend of policy expertise and business development acumen to bear for their companies. This depth of expertise includes government IT acquisition and modernization, ID management, the need for technology adoption in education, and everything in between. They are an incredible asset to ITI and the public sector community,” said ITI President and CEO, Dean Garfield.
