Seattle names interim CTO
Seattle has named Sabra Schneider as its interim chief technology officer as it searches for a full-time replacement for Erin Devoto, who resigned last month.
Seattle has named Sabra Schneider as its interim chief technology officer as it searches for a full-time replacement for Erin Devoto, who resigned last month.
Schneider has worked for the city in a number of roles, most recently serving as the city’s director of electronic communications. There, she managed the city’s 48-person Web team.
In that time, she helped launched projects such as the Startup Weekend Government Edition, the Evergreen Apps Challenge and created the city’s mobile website.
Prior to joining the city, she worked as the Web manager for King County, Wash.

Seattle’s chief technology officer manages nearly 200 employees and includes an annual operating budget of more than $79 million.
