States need data-sharing practices among agencies that administer non-assistance services through TANF, says a recent GAO report.

The data of 61,000 people was compromised by improper access by state employees, who've since been fired by the state government.

The state is also struggling to recover $60 million in double payments made to nursing homes while the eligibility system was offline.
