NASCIO announces members of 2026-2027 executive leadership team
The National Association of State Chief Information Officers announced its 2026-2027 executive leadership team Tuesday, promoting Utah CIO Alan Fuller to serve as the organization’s president for the term from his previous role as vice president.
Fuller replaces Arizona CIO J.R. Sloan, who has served as NASCIO’s president over the past year. Sloan used his time in leadership to spearhead an initiative on citizen identity management. In a report about the presidential initiative, NASCIO noted that it “has become a critical dependency for citizen-facing digital services offering no-wrong-door service delivery and reducing fraud” – but many states still face challenges in implementing solutions, such as funding, lack of collaboration, and resistance across state organizations.
Additionally, Ohio CIO Katrina Flory has been promoted to serve as vice president for the 2026-27 term from serving as secretary-treasurer last year. Shawnzia Thomas, Georgia’s CIO, will serve as this year’s secretary-treasurer.
NASCIO also shared the names of its executive committee directors:
- Jeff Clines, CIO, State of Wyoming
- Tim Galluzi, CIO, State of Nevada
- Bill Kehoe, CIO, State of Washington
- Corey Mock, CIO, State of North Dakota
- Craig Orgeron, CIO, State of Mississippi
- Brandon Ragle, CIO, State of Illinois
- Jason Snyder, CIO, Commonwealth of Massachusetts
Jennifer Ricker, director of customer success at CGI and former Illinois CIO, will also continue to serve on NASCIO’s Corporate Leadership Council, this year as chair of the group, which holds advisory, non-voting seats on NASCIO’s executive committee. She’ll be joined by Stephanie Weber, a senior industry leader of state and local government with Appian.
