Messy criminal justice data complicates Clean Slate programs, says Connecticut CIO
At least a dozen states are running so-called “clean slate” programs, which automate the sealing of criminal records for those who’ve served their time. Connecticut is among them, but the disorganized data held by criminal justice agencies makes implementation “really hard,” said Connecticut Chief Information Officer Mark Raymond.
