Acting Pittsburgh CIO Heidi Norman would lead technology efforts in a city now focused on improving connectivity and access to data.

City CIO Heidi Norman said the city will focus on connectivity before pursuing "fun stuff."

Pittsburgh will move all city services to the Google Cloud platform over the next 4 years, a move that'll allow it to retire "brittle" legacy IT systems.

Heidi Norman, the city's acting CIO, said the city government has gotten "into a groove" with remote work as the pandemic's continued.
