A letter signed by 12 senators urges DHS to investigate the TSA's use of facial recognition before it expands the technology's use to many additional airports.
The Maryland General Assembly passed legislation that would hold law enforcement agencies accountable to facial recognition use requirements that would be the most stringent in the nation.
The Traveler Privacy Protection Act would put an end to a TSA facial recognition pilot program and prevent future experimentation without Congressional approval.
