IT services provider Conduent was awarded a contract that moves the state's child-support payment system out of the state data center.

The Kansas Department of Children and Families is paying Conduent $6.9 million to replatform its COBOL-based system.

Conduent, spun off from Xerox, generated 13 million last year from local and municipal contracts.
