New Hampshire’s ‘scramble’ to spend ARPA funding

The American Rescue Plan included funding for states to fix many of the sore spots exposed by the COVID-19 pandemic. New Hampshire Chief Information Officer Denis Goulet tells StateScoop that his office is now “scrambling” to spend every dime of those funds before an obligation deadline at the end of the year. He said the funding is being spent on major IT modernization projects, including swapping out the executive branch’s networking infrastructure with modern technologies.
