Citizen services portal will be ‘game changer’ for Utah, says CIO
Utah Chief Information Officer Alan Fuller says his office is developing a citizen services portal that should be ready by the middle of 2025. In a video interview with StateScoop, Fuller says he’s “really excited” about a project that he believes will be a “game changer.” “We’re doing pretty well with digital delivery of government services, but it’s very chaotic and fragmented, disorganized, and the average person on the street doesn’t know what workforce services does versus health and human services versus someone else, and they shouldn’t have to know,” he says. The unified portal, a common goal among state CIOs, would provide users a centralized location to access all the state-related services they care about.
