The Federal Communications Commission is considering a new program that would provide schools and libraries "cybersecurity and advanced firewall services."

More than 4,500 employees across 14 school districts were affected by a ransomware attack targeting Pinal County, Arizona.

The state's education commissioner said districts are not equipped to adhere to basic cybersecurity standards.
