Indiana's local governments can now access free web hosting with all the same accessibility and security features of the state government's websites.

A new state government website tracker ranks the public's digital experience in 50 states based on factors like metadata, URL configuration and "robots.txt" files.

The state is moving to a new web publishing platform to give agencies' online presences "consistency, but not uniformity," officials said.
