Take a whole of state approach to protect assets in a digital world

The “Whole of State” initiative emerged as local governments faced increasing cyberattacks and lacked the resources to defend themselves, prompting state governments to intervene. Under this approach, states can offer various services to meet the diverse needs of state, local, tribal, and territorial government agencies, including security awareness training, incident response planning, and identity and access management. Doing so ultimately helps organizations better defend against escalating cyber threats and address resource constraints and vulnerabilities within local governments.
