Modernizing endpoint management to gain greater visibility into network activity

As state and local governments continue to expand their use of cloud services, one of the key challenges agency CIOs and CISOs face is how to best manage network activity and security at the edge of their networks and across their IT environments.

One agency that’s made major strides in addressing that challenge is the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR). 

CDCR’s CISO, Ken Kojima joined StateScoop on a panel discussion, underwritten by Tanium, to talk about how the third largest law enforcement agency in the nation is using a modern endpoint management and security platforms to gain greater visibility into their network environment. He discusses the way the platform is helping CDCR reduce and mitigate security risk an improve the user experience for state agency employees and the public.

Also on the panel, Chris Cruz, Tanium CIO for state, local and education, gives his perspective on the biggest challenges facing state agency CIOs and CISO today as the look to improve their visibility of assets and endpoints across the network. 

Kojima and Cruz both touch on recommendations for other state IT leaders as they consider the minimum capabilities they need to deploy a comprehensive endpoint and IT management solution.
