Pandemic relief was clutch for broadband

The federal pandemic relief package that passed in March has been instrumental in providing short-term broadband connectivity for states, according to a Pew Research Center study published yesterday. Pew researcher Anna Read found that 12 states have used parts of their CARES Act funds to close the broadband gap for K-12 students, while at least two have used it to serve college students. The letter's signers included the founders of DEF CON's Voting Village, videos from which Trump has repurposed to promote his baseless insistence that he didn't lose. Read more on CyberScoop.
