Multiple state employment sites down after cyberattack on Geographic Solutions Inc.

Multiple states have posted notices about unemployment and job search outages, with some attributing the issue to an attack on third-party vendor Geographic Solutions Inc. The company provides software for local and state governments. The scope of the outages is not immediately clear, but could affect "dozens" of states, according to some state announcements. Paterson, N.J., promises Suboxone delivery in 90 minutes

Verizon to expand broadband for 80 tribal schools

Verizon plans to upgrade internet service for schools operated by 64 Native American tribes, the company announced this week. The company's contract with the Bureau of Indian Education is valued at $147 million, according to the company. Work is expected to run through 2023, but schools can expect to see updates "as early as this fall." Colin has more.
