Back for its second year, the LocalSmart Awards program honors the visionaries who transform local government to make a difference in citizens' lives. These awards celebrate the achievements of those who work to make a lasting impact in the government IT community. Nominees are sourced from community submissions, and the winners will be decided through open voting.

Individuals: Each nominee must be a current city, county or municipal government official whose innovative championing of technology has directly transformed operations and bolstered agencies' efficiency and effectiveness in serving citizens.
Projects: Each nominee must be a current technology-based project or program that is changing the way citizens receive services or how local government operates.
