Claire Bailey

As the former chief technology officer for the State of Arkansas, Claire Bailey has continued her dedication to improving government service delivery as director of federal, state and local solutions for software company Compuware. There, she connects government agencies with tools that allow for cross-platform collaboration, shortened development cycles and improved service delivery. Upon leaving government, Bailey said Compuware was a natural match that would allow her to continue her passion of making a difference.
Brenda Decker
Director of Global Government
IBM
Former Nebraska CIO Brenda Decker now serves as the director in IBM’s Global Government office where she has leveraged her talents as a collaborator and IT strategist to assist government leaders on new tactics and tech that improve their delivery models and operations. As a leader in the smart city space, IBM has a suite of analytics and Internet of Things technologies that Decker is spearheading through her work. In Nebraska, Decker’s major accomplishments involved IT contract consolidations that saved the state about $2 to $5 million per year and merging 30-plus email systems into a single platform.

Jim Falvey has spent the past decade leading various sales efforts within VMware’s Enterprise, Healthcare and SLED segments. For the past six years, Falveyhas been solely dedicated to SLED, laying a foundation for excellence and overachievement. Henow leads an extended team of more than70 people across 16 field teams within nine Western states. His team has overseen a revenue increase of more than300percentsince 2010, and under his leadership, VMware has helped several clients transform their digital business, including the California Department of Natural Resources, Los Angeles County, the City of San Francisco and the University of California Health System.

With more than 20 years of public sector experience, Jen focuses on identity management and cybersecurity by sponsoring and supporting the IDESG and NISTs National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence for Symantec.

He has spent the past 15 years evangelizing and delivering Citrix technologies to help customers realize the Citrix vision to create a world where people can experience work and life their way. David is a regular speaker at industry events and is a spokesperson around technology initiatives such as virtualization, mobility, cloud computing, networking and IT consolidation.

As CEO of Learning Tree International, Richard Spires is actively working to bring training programs to all sectors and all fields. Specifically to government, Learning Tree is working alongside governments like the State of Tennessee to create unique, tailored training experiences for state government workers in technology, cybersecurity and other topics. In addition to Tennessee, Learning Tree also provides training programs for some federal government agencies, including the Defense Department. Before coming to Learning Tree, Spires served as a chief information officer for the Internal Revenue Service and the Department of Homeland Security in the federal government.

As a director for state, local and education for Dell EMC, Allan Wong regularly works alongside state and local government leaders to help them find the right technology solutions to the problems they face every day. In addition to generally working with leaders on solutions, Wong also serves as chair of the corporate affiliate committee for the National Association of State Technology Directors where he helps the groups board govern the agency, come up with programming and liaise with the rest of the association on the goals and needs of corporate members.
